A Newark, New Jersey company has been charged with violating immigration law. The company, Peri Software Solutions Inc., reportedly sponsored foreign workers to work as programmer analysts across the country under a visa program known as H-1B. These workers must be paid the same wages as U.S. workers would be paid. The company reportedly did not compensate the foreign employees properly. Now, they have reportedly agreed to pay more than $765,000 in back wages and penalties to these workers.
