Man Facing Deportation Gets Green Card

A man in the Portland, Oregon area was facing deportation to Guatemala, but has now been granted a green card. According to reports, he was ordered to be deported in 2006, but was able to stay in the U.S. to care for his young U.S.-born daughter while appealing the decision. Eventually, his case moved forward as it was seen that his young daughter was struggling as her family was pulled apart due to deportations. Now, he has been granted lawful permanent resident status.
