Student Granted Deportation Reprieve

A student at UC Davis has reportedly been granted a last-minute deportation reprieve. According to reports, the premedical student and her mother will be able to remain in the U.S. temporarily. Friends and advocates for the family campaigned to keep them in the U.S. as she is a serious college student and has been in the U.S. since she was six years old. The mother has previously applied for political asylum and the girl only recently learned she wasn't a citizen.
