College Student Awaits Deportation

A City College of San Francisco student is reportedly awaiting deportation after he reportedly thought his tourist visa didn't expire until 2012. Steve Li came to the U.S. legally on a tourist visa, but his mother reportedly never told him it didn't last ten years as he came in 2002 with his family. He has been working toward opening a medical clinic. The family reportedly applied for political asylum but never received it. His tourist visa allowed him to travel outside of Peru for ten years, but not stay in the U.S. for ten years.
